Martin Gaucin

Martin Gaucin serves as the Utah Consular Corps Advisor, a role that underscores his deep commitment to elevating Utah as a pivotal hub for international trade, cooperation, and cultural exchange. Known among his colleagues as a 'Go-Getter' for his relentless dedication and willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, Martin has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to both his professional and community endeavors.

Martin's career is marked by a strong advocacy for diplomacy and community service. Early on, he founded the Salt Lake Diplomacy Society, an unincorporated entity focused on fostering international relations. This organization was a precursor to the Utah Consular Corps' new Student Leadership Council, established in the third quarter of 2023. In 2024, Martin's diplomatic initiatives reached new heights through his collaboration with His Excellency the Honorary Consul of Spain to create the Asociación de Españoles en Utah, further strengthening Utah’s international ties.

In addition to his role with the Utah Consular Corps, Martin serves as voluntary Senior Assistant to the Consul of the Czech Republic, Latvia, and Japan. His exemplary dedication to service has been recognized with the Lieutenant Governor's Volunteer Service Award, highlighting his outstanding contributions to the community.

Martin’s tireless efforts and passion for diplomacy align seamlessly with the goals of the Utah Consular Corps, as he works diligently to ensure that Utah continues to be celebrated as a crossroads of global interaction.
